This whole thread was as sparkly as a jewelry store. Where on earth do you get such gorgeous palys? The best I have is speckled!

Dang you guys, these types of palys are-just-crazy. :-0
I have questions if anyone can answer.
What is their care like? I mean is it all the same requirements that all of these beauties need? Like, do these all accept food/ display a prey capture response?
On that note, my second question is...Are these palys? I'm still not 100% able to tell if something is a zoa or a paly, but I know you all would know.
Perhaps Flyyyguy can help me here, he had a clear way of identifying them from zoas but darned if I can find it.
Thanks again you all. :-)

they all feed. Most zoanthids just wont readily accept chunks of food that are easily seen with the naked eye.

I see. So say I've got some, can I feed Rods food or whatever and all types of sparkly types will benefit from that type of food ?
Thanks again

Hey thanks for the compliments!! There are many awesome zoas and palys in this thread!

Just a little background. I have been collecting zoas and palys for abut 5 years now. The 2 that you guys are quoting are not very well known in the hobby as far as I have seen. The first one I purchased as a frag from a vendor and they morphed a little in my tank. I think there are very few people that have this morph as I have never seen them from anyone else. Well at least people that frequent reef forum. :)

The other one, I can't remember where it came from, but it is a pretty slow grower. They are beautiful and itis one of my most favorite of all times!

Thanks again!
