I got two new pieces over the last two weeks and I thought I would share them. Last week I received this Loripes that has a few nice contrasting colors in it, half of it is still coloring up but I think it has a lot of potential. I have him placed at the bottom of the tank.

Here's my new piece that I'm really excited about that I got this morning. It's a greenish/yellow and pink spathulata. I dont usually buy sps this large but I couldn't resist when scott at Unique Corals picked this one out for me. I put it in about 2 1/2 hours ago but the piece is still beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice.

Sorry for the picture quality, I just snapped them with my phone. I've been wanting a nice spathulata for awhile so I'm pretty happy with my new pieces.

looks really nice! I purchased a nice wild colony spath with similar colors from divers den several months ago and its has maintained its coloration and has grown nicely. Most of the research I did (post purchase :>) sounded like there was not good long term success with this species to date. Will be interested in how yours does.

Would you happen to have any links to any of the information you found on them? My spath arrived in good condition and the colors aren't brown what so ever so I'm thinking I have a pretty healthy specimen, so hopefully it'll do well and I expect the pink tips and green/yellow base to become more defined over time.

Ksicard,

I just did a google search which linked to me some reef forums threads on care...Limited anecdotal info mostly...
