Special Blend Will it hurt / bother corals ??

Hey we have cyno. Did a 3 day Lights out no sun nutting Tank looks great but some cyno is still there. Im going to get Special Blend from fosters. I have a 29 im going to add it to to help complete the cycle.

Will Special Blend hurt my corals ?? I have to much $$$ stuck in to kill them.

Cyno was because our Ro filter had a bad Di cartrage and leached some crap back in our tank :thumbdown

Special Blend will not affect any of your livestock. It will not do anything to the Cyano either. I know people have been trying it for cyano but I havent seen any data or results showing that it helps clear it up.

Just let it ride for 30 more days and repeat the lights-out procedure. Cheaper and works. Most of the time it will get it for good within 3 months, if you have a good skimmer, aren't exposing your tank to sunlight and have corrected whatever other problems, like the filter problem.

Special blend SEEMED to help me SOMEWHAT in my own cyano fight.

No worries with corals.

I was reading the thread cyno outbrake and some people were claiming it was intramental in there cyno clean up.

Yeah, that's why I bought it. My cyano did go away, but special blend was only one of several major things I did.

FWIW (which isn't much) I totally disagree with the theory that you can battle cyano by reducing/turning off lights. Cyano grows best in my tanks in total darkness. I would do better with a 24hr light cycle than turning my lights off.
