species tanks

I did have a med. koran angel in that tank for a while without a problem, a friend with a larger tank wanted it, so off it went. Never had a puffer so that I couldn't say with any certainty. That tank would have to be a lot larger than 30-50 gal. or it woud be World War III. Remember the more you like to watch them eat the bigger they get. My lion was about a foot long and perfect.

haha I think I would like a FOWLR more than a reef, but the reef looks great in the living room.... anyway if I set up a FOWLR I would make sure it would be around 180-200gallons to hold the fish I would want :)

the reason I said 30-50 is because the room I want my next tank in doesn't have the space for a larger tank....My basement(which is more like a living room) could hold pretty much any size tank I wanted lol

That would be fine, I had mine in a 125. This was back in the late 80's and I did have a lot in that tank by today's standards. I had a mix most people would cringe at now, but it worked then with no deaths due to vicious attacks. I had triggers(niger, picasso, clown and undulated), volitans red lion, large snowflake eel, coral hogfish, and a panther grouper. I know now this was a potential war zone, but I must have had valium in my water supply because they all behaved well. This group was together more or less for 3-5 years until I sold most of them to someone with a much larger tank.

I wouldn't try this again the same way. I just was very lucky it worked. Tossing an adult undulated and clown trigger in close quarters with a bunch off other fish is asking for it.
