I switched out my 10k MH to 20k about a month ago. I have noticed the zoos that were at the bottom of my tank seem to have shrank. Is this just a response to spectrum change or are that not getting enough light? 24"D 2x250w 20k MH. They were under 10ks for about 13 months before the change. Any opinions appreciated.

Usually not enough light makes them stretch and reach for the top of the tank. Since they are shrunk, I would guess that's it's due to the spectrum change. They just need time to readjust to the lighting. What I typically do to avoid a lot of shock, is scoot them under an overhang. Within a week or so, they always begin reaching for light. I then slowly move them out into full light. I've never lost a colony this way.
