Spectrum choice regarding BTA

Hey all - I'm setting up a separate tank for my maroons, and I'm contemplating putting in a BTA. (Emphasis on CONTEMPLATING.) My only short term lighting option would be a 75W VHO, and I'm trying to determine what type of bulb might be best. The proposed tank will be 2'x2'x1', likely barebottom, and plumbed into the rest of the system.

Of course, I'm also thinking about coral alternatives, something less light-loving. I've found plenty of resources on those, and am very willing to divert to one of my frogspawns or ricordeas, or frankly whatever. I'm also willing to put no "home" in at all, but I think it would be nice to have something not man-made.

Please forgive me if spectrum suggestions are found elsewhere and I missed them - I missed them!

I think I may be walking into a trap.
That being said, I don't see anything wrong with 10KK

HA! I see what you mean. Sorry to give that impression.

I'm actually serious, but given the potential fights that this thread might start, maybe we should pretend I never asked.

Are you only able to include a single bulb? If so, I would definitely look into a higher PAR bulb, such as UV's aquasun bulbs.

For the moment, just one bulb. I could, at some point in a few months, go with another light, but I need to stick with the ones I have available until I can get some other stuff handled. I'll check out the Aquasun.
