I recently took down my 75 because I was getting bothered by the fact it was taking more of my time than I wanted it to and causing me to put off my other interests, and secondly it wasn't going any way that I wanted it to. So it's gone, and I'm selling off a lot of my reefing gear. So I can buy camera gear.

I want a new body, and I think I need a little help with my selection. I have a T5i for now with a basic assortment of lenses - F1.8 50mm prime, the stock 18-55mm, a UWA 10-18, and the 100mm macro (probably getting rid of most of the lenses but the macro). I just haven't been happy with most of my shots. I find I like landscapes and low-light shooting - stars, evening, early early morning, walking around the woods, etc - and the noise handling on the T5i doesn't seem able to do what I want it to. (Example: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2518886) That was with the 50mm 1.8 prime on a dead calm, moonless night an hour north of Lake Superior.

I am leaning pretty strongly toward a 6D for the low-light capabilities. My local shop has a 6D with the 24-105mm f4L as a package for 2100, which I am really thinking is a good way to reboot my setup with better glass (probably should have gone that way to begin with). I'll be rebuilding my glass collection later - I really am doing a massive reboot now that I know what I want to do and that I actually like this.

However, having said all that, I'm open to other suggestions for bodies. I'd really like to keep things to the 1500-2K price point if at all possible.

Thanks
NJG
