So I was shopping at a local asian supermarket, and in the blue crab bin they has a couple of odd shaped crabs.

talked with the fish guy, and he stated they were spider crabs and were often caught with the blue crabs. I talked him into selling me a live one.

Anyone have any experience with keeping these guys. It just seems to be a great looking crab.

is that what they sometimes have in sushi?

Are you making a predator tank? I'll bet those guys will eat your fish.

right now he is in a quarantine tank with no fish (some snails and other crabs).

She ate some feeder shrimp.

I also bought an odd conch (for 0.25 - price of the meat). It's not a tiger, fighting or queen conch. Trying to identify the shell, but the conch started filter eating like crazy right away.

k, will take a couple of pics when I get home tonight.

The crab has grabbed some tank algae and placed it onto it's back.

So far it has been slow and goofy, but I like it. Eats about two feeder shrimp a day.

with that range of natural environment, how do you know what type of temperature it needs? I'd be afraid that my tank was too warm to keep it, but that's probably just being a bit overcautious.
