hey just wanted to know why zoas lose color? my spiderman lost it's blue so now the center part is brownish. added actinic supplement to 150mh for about 2 weeks now. do you think that was it? i want the blue back! :-(

Try putting them in a shadded area, most blues like "Tubs Blues" don't like brightlight and actually do better under a ledge or away from direct lighting..

Some of my zoa's do lose color under stronger lighting. Some don't though. If your zoa's loses color, you might want to place it under different lighting. This might help.

they lost their color after i put on actinic supplement. so now i placed it at the bottom of tank. 60gallon. i think 18" deep. they were about 5-6" from 150w light and were getting brighter until the actinic supplement. sucks

What are you water parameters, the actinics shouldnt make them lose color, it should help with color... How old is your bulb and which bulb..

Try keeping them at the bottom of the tank for awhile and see how they do...
