sponge removal

I have two types of sponge growing in my SPS tank I need to remove. One is a white translucent color that is encroching on my good corals the other is yellow in color doing the same. I have heard that there are types of star fish that will eat them. Any suggestions. I have had great luck with my coral system, it is 2002 vintage BB with tons of flow, my corals grow well but this sponge is getting on my wires.
Thanks:mad2:

The yellow sponge is common and shouldn't outcompete any photosynthetic corals for territory. I'm not familiar with the other you describe but I doubt it is able to outcompete corals. If you want them gone, the best advice I can give you is scrub them away with a toothbrush.

They love the same think you feed your sps thats if you feed you
sps . sponges are a sign of a heath tank , theres plunty of food
for them to thrive ,so your tank must have plunty for them to feed on. I woluded scub them of, peal them of scurbing will only make more . you mite try injecting with vineger.
Ive got neon green growing in my tank , pinaple sponges , one that looks like a clear colors with lots of small mouths grows in sheets . but any of them haven't taken over any of my coral .
