Spring frag swap! 05/18/13 @ the odeum

So no updated vendor or prize list...

They're on the CMAS forum. Why they built a CMAS forum I have no idea. Superman92088 is trying to get you sucked into using their forum instead of this one, so he's not posting the list here. I personally hate how there's so many forums for this small area, we should pick one and all go there. Preferably not this one.

Hahaha... just Googled it... I've heard that joke before but would've never put two and two together. I wonder how many people use that reference and don't realize where it came from! :eek2:

I just googled it and I had never heard the joke before and will be using that expression a lot less....LOL:deadhorse1:

Wish I could be there for this Swap. I have no place within 100 miles to get anything salt water related. I am forced to rely on mail order to get the things I need. Of course if I came to Chicago I would probably be beating my head on the dashboard by the time I got thru St. Louis...I just love life out in the country here. It more than makes up for the things it doesn't have. Miss my RC friends of course and the great Texas Hold Em Frag Tournaments we used to have. Has anyone heard from Keith Toriani since he moved?

Have fun my friends...miss you all. Congrats on being president Karl...take care...

I have 3 horses, 50 chickens, a pot bellied pig, 9 rescue dogs, 4 barn cats, 3 baby goats, a canary and a tank full of goldfish. Just waiting to start my saltwater tank...I am currently babysitting some fresh water cichlids for a friend who moved to Arizona. I am just waiting for her to swing by in a couple of weeks and pick them up. Then I will be setting up my tank. The farm life agrees with me completely. I have been working with the horses. The first was a rescue from a year ago and the last two were about 300 to 400 lbs underweight when I rescued them. That is how I ended up with the goldfish, pig and 2 more dogs. All in all I took in 5 horses (found homes for the 3 minis) . The rescue group I work with rescued 11 Golden Retrievers, 7 Labrador Retrievers, 5 Great Pyrenees, 3 Beagles, 1 Poodle mix, 1 Spaniel mix, 2 German Shepherds and we were able to find breed specific rescues to take them in. They have all be adopted out except for 1 of the GP's...she gave birth to 5 puppies the day she was taken in to be spayed. No one even knew she was pregnant. I am happy with the work I do out here.

We did have one pet shop in town, they only carried FW fish and even they couldn't stay in business.

****. I have 4 cats, and I call my house a zoo.

Ladipyg----Do you want my beagel and german/ausie/dingo mix? The wife would love to get rid of them. Just had the flooring in my house switched to wood, and the fur is getting to much

Where is the detailed treasures report out? Its April I would like to see where the money in the club is going, if you want me to be part of it. I do think money disappeared in the club in the past and know alot of raffle items were donated not bought. I dont see what benefit it is to being a club member. I dont think everyone should work for free and if your getting paid let everyone know not like before.

There are not many transactions before events...just membership updates, etc. You will see the best and most transparent Treasures Report after this event that CMAS has ever done. Or Treasure is a CPA now. ;) Any questions or concerns will be addressed.

If they had to fill out each ticket maybe people would be less hesitant to buy 400 of them?

Honestly, it's a totally new regime and they need to have some time to get things ironed out. I won't be attending the frag swap because I just don't have a tank going at the moment. If I did have one going currently I would be fine with the $5 fee even with my membership because the change in venue is likely more expensive.

Maybe CMAS could look into different levels of membership(s) ???

We can look into different levels....If you don't have a tank, come and Win one!! :D or just come to hang out...that is what these events should be about, not just getting great deals! That will happen anyway. ;)

WOW...us members that have a current membership have to pay to get into this swap?
Wheres the fairness in that?

Your getting Credited back with raffle tickets Rich....we just are trying something new....things can always change in future events...your input is appreciated.

Dear CMAS board:

Close shop. Redistribute any remaining funds. Tell the membership to "pound sand."

I volunteer for a lot of things. All of it is out of the interest to satisfy others. Frequently.....it's just not worth it.

Your suggestion will be noted. :D

Food is available through the Odeum Concessions....Pizza, Hot Dogs, Etc. Full bar is available to hang out with bar beverages available...This is a full service Venue! ;)

Here is a list of the vendors....the CMAS forum was implemented to discuss club business with our members...it is in no way designed to take any traffic from RC...RC is a Valuable resource and will be here long after all the others. ;)
