That's quite a bit farther for those of us in the burbs. How's the space? Is it at least more accessible than the VFW in terms of parking and vendor/hobbylist powered table space?

I was disappointed when we didn't have a winter swap--it's typically the event I look forward to the most.

The questions are flying in like crazy!!!!!!!!! I will answer them when I can lol. Cost for Vendor spots as well as cost for admission into the event will be determined when i get everything figured out.

The space for each vendor booth will be about 10X10

There are also 3 other events going on that day at the Odeum Expo Center. A woodworking expo, A Ladies Pamper expo, and a signs mute and deaf expo

$20.00 for a one year CMAS Membership or $30.00 for two years (FREE entry and 5 raffle tickets if bought on the day of the event)

Wait, so we don't even get in for free if we are current members? The reason many people purchase the membership is to get into the swaps for free. Personally, I could care less about the raffle tickets since I don't plan on dumping hundreds of dollars into it like the usual winners do. Guess I won't bother with a CMAS membership anymore.

+1. For most people the only real value of having that membership was to be able to attend these shows for free.

There are usually 2 shows a year. If the general admission is $10, and then members pay $5 more, then members are paying $30 a year to see these shows. As opposed to not getting a membership and paying $20.

Hello,

I usually don't voice my opinion but this is something that has to be changed. I renewed my membership at the last frag swap for 2 years knowing that I go to all the frag swaps and it would save me money over paying the entrance fee twice a year. In fact, that is how the membership is promoted (pushed) at these events as a way to save money on entry in the future.

Under the new prices, as mentioned in the last post, non members will save money over members. That can't be a good policy? Please tell me why anyone would buy a membership, and please don't use discounts at LFS as a reason as very few honor that all the time and I and others have no interest in raffle tickets.

Worse case scenario, all current members HAVE to be grandfathered in under the old policy as that is why we bought the card in the first place. That is what we were promised at the time of purchase and that has to be honored.

If this is a new policy than it should apply to new members only... and even that I think will cause a serious decrease in "card carrying members". Could even cause the club itself to collapse which I would hate to see as a proud CMAS member!
