The Spring Frag Swap and Conference date has been set for April 26th, 2014 at Williamsport Area High School in Williamsport, PA. Everyone through the door gets a free coral frag! Full details are available at ReefConservationSociety.org

The last 2 or 3 swaps I've been to have not had speakers, it's nice to see that back on the schedule. Who will it be?

Any chance there will be some salt, vortechs, or decent stuff in the raffle?

We always have a speaker at our Spring Swap. We'll be announcing the speaker on here and on our web site shortly.

Always working on donations for the raffle. We'll definitely have some salt and other nice things in the raffle. Stay tuned for updates...

Larry, Are you going to throw this up on fragswapper with Fizz ?
It may help get some more people in the door.

Just a thought ..........
Herbie

Not only is the event up, but it's now under the club's new name "Reef Conservation Society" (RCS). All historical events go with the change so nobody has to do anything, but don't be looking for NCPARS in the list of events on the left. :)

Sanjay Joshi is confirmed as our speaker for the swap. Visit ReefCentral.com or FragSwapper.com for detailed swap information!

I have no issue with the cost, just that I don't drive. I will need some other enthusiast from State College who can give me a ride. :(

Make a thread in NCPARS/RCS forum. I'd consider giving a ride to someone from my area, and have 2 others already going with me.

Alright, the event is only 3 weeks away. Time to start thinking about the topic for my talk. Any suggestions on what you want me to talk about. I can pretty much talk about anything when it comes to reefkeeping :-)

sanjay.

You can stay for as long as you want. Doors open at 10:00am, lunch is at noon (included with admission), Sanjay Joshi will be speaking at 1:30 and we'll have a member meeting at 3:00 followed by the raffle at 4:00. People hang out, talk, eat, drink, check out the school system and generally learn from each other about good reef keeping. Lots of coral to buy and plenty of people looking to make trades. A lot of people come between 10:00 and noon. Most stay until the raffle.
