Has anyone one used spring water for topoff. The grocery store has 2g for a 1.00 the same as the ro water at the fish store. would it be just as safe.

i wouldnt use spring and sometimes distilled can have alot of phosphates, if you can ge RO for the same price, you know its the best, so why change?

ive been using tap water for the past year and a half on my FOWLR now on my reef, im goign to start usign some RODI, but the tap water in west hartford is abotu 36ppm

well i need to do a water change to day and the pet stores are closed so im going to wall mart. ill just get i gallon of the distilled. thanks

dont use the distilled water, they have a purifide water that personally i think is better

well i didnt even know there was that many different waters from the store i posted about getting a k2 viper light what do yall think.

i have a well, and the water is really heavy, so no rodi for me, and if you get a company that used copper to destilled their water at one point or other you will get into problems, just my .02c

Distilled water has minimal impurities and no copper. It's a good alternative if you don't have access to ro/di water.

Spring water has minerals in it, that's why it's sold as spring water. The minerals enhance the flavor of the water which technically has no flavor. Although those minerals are fine for human consumption they may or may not enhance your aquarium.

if I'm not wrong big water company uses two different kind of distillation, one is with glass and another with copper, they have a purified water that is the same ro/di

You really need to look close at bottled water that says RO. Often times spring water is blended with ro water just to get the specs up.
