Springer's Damsel and Ocellaris Clownfish

I have a 34 gallon RSM 130d. I have 2 Ocellaris Clownfish and 2 Yellowhead Jawfish. I would like to add some blue to my tank. Would a Springers Damsel co-exist with these tank mates? I have also thought about adding a Royal Gramma at some point, should I do that before the Springers Damsel or does it matter? I am also open to any blue fish suggestions for this tank.

Thanks,
Ben

I wouldn't do a damsel. They are terrors in smaller tanks. There are some blennies that are blue that could make a nice fit for your tank.

The springeri has been the most peaceful damsel I have ever encountered, and I find they behave very well in reef tanks.

With your current inhabitants a springeri will be just fine, but a royal gramma and the springeri may fight, as they both want the same type of territory. I would recommend adding them together if possible, as this will minimize the aggression either might show toward the other.

My springerii damsel has been cool also. Looks like a little black damsel with blue flames. I'd make it your last fish or as suggested adding at same time as the gramma. Any fish in a small tank can become territorial for sure

agreed, they also go after certain pests, like flatworms, which is just a bonus to them being one of the most peaceful damsels. That said it is a damsel and when possible should be added last in most cases, but I have seen them do well in mixed reefs without being last in.

Neon gobies, while cool, have a much shorter lifespan than other fish AFAIK, and can be finicky eaters....as far as blue fish go in general damsels will dominate but there are other options, like the blue dartfish.
