Am I correct to assume that this will be disassembled and then built in your basement? That's quite huge and the viewing panels are massive. Really looking forward to watching the progress.
Mcpuff. Front glass panel is assembled on site. So we can put huge boulders of marco rock in without crane to lift each one and cement etc. it is my understanding that the 3 part acrylic and fiberglass come somehow together. We are awaiting this tank before we start extention of house so it can get in.
Thx allmost. Sort of nuts. And electrical was a way bigger deal than i imagined. We need 2 125 kw generators to run both tanks and house. And ... Had to dig down to a sub basement 10 ft underground to build a third filter room with vats ans sumps and its own hvac. Couldnt get phase 3 power so needed to bring 2 800 amp service. 1600 amps which tanks tank up more than half and equip is bigger with phase 1 power.
Yes. Had to keep digging. We out of space with tank movie theater gym and equip rooms. Sumps are huge. So are water change vats. We tried but in the end house will have to be underpinned. All sumps can now go down there with equipment in regular baement ie skimmers and drained down. With stair case and working in ground freight elevator to get down to both floors for huge salt bags.
