SPS and LED (possibly with t5)

i have a new build. I was previously a t5 guy.. .had t5 for almost a decade over my old tank.

I'm trying G3 radions over this build.

i do have room for a few t5s beside the radios... but How many do I need to make any difference?

My corals aren't doing poor, but I just like to tinker.

I just did a new build. I previously ran only LEDs and while my coral grew and all I was never happy with color. I was advised here to try a T5 retro kit mixed with my LEDS..... after setting tank up just over a month ago with LEDS and T5 now it was the best move I ever made. Colors are already coming back and some stuff looks better than it ever has!

My opinion is you can do it with just LED, but you will need more than the manufacturers recommend. T-5 is a good option to take the place of the additional LED units. It seems people are happy with the combination.
