Which Sps would you have that shows no signs of PE ? I have alot of sps and they all show signs from minimal to full polyp extension some at night and some in the day but the suharsonoi shows nothing , my other deepwater show the tips white with like star bud type of pe nice but nada from the suharsonoi..is this common what coral do you have that just resist showing you any pe?

Although PE isn't really a good indicator of coral health, no PE can be a sign of stress. Did you check for pests? The really smooth acros (deepwaters especially) are susceptible to red bugs. Howevers, deepwaters from my experience also show the least PE in general. You can also try feeding things like oyster feast and rotifers to see if you get any PE.

I have yet to see a significant polyp extension on suharsonoi. A single finger can be seen at some tips now and then.

yeah one polyp per long finger is all they give but it is colorful growing great just never really any pe just like thin white filament very thin that comes out but barely visible not like other pe guess its the breed.

I have a stag that you can just get a hit of polyps on during the day time, but once all the lights are out it opens up. I'm not sure of the species though. Everything else has great PE though. I know nothing is nipping on it since i only have a firefish and convict goby in the tank. Some sps just never put out polyps during the day time.

My suhar shows very light PE on most all branches a lot of times. Def one of the least PE corals I've seen

My Suharsoni has a hint of PE, but only at times and when display's lights are off. It's "out" all over right now, but it normally is not extending on multiple branches at a time. Maybe a few flowers here and there.
