I thought I already answered that question? High alk with ULNS can cause tissue narcotics ( losing there color) there r other reason also also but I have had lots or experience with this. To me I would start there, but I will list a few other things can cause that. Others feel free to add to this list
1.High temp or temp swings
2. To much light. Remember if water changes clarity same light u have been running can now be to much light.
3. High alk low nutrients
4. Pretty much any of the tank parameters having a large swing. Salinity, alk, temp, nitrate, phosphate
I'm sure there r plenty of other reasons that others can add
Ok that clarified a little more, I thought high alk could cause tissue necrosis, but I never saw a confirmation in this thread. Alk used to be stable at 11 but this jump up to 12 is new
