Hi,

I've been browsing and searching SPS coloration topics and went to a dead end,

can anyone post the link of the following topics please?

1. what to dose to get the following colors yellow, green, blue/purple etc...
2. Zeovit dosing alternates
3. ULNS+biopellets+ zeovit dosing alternates

thanks!

Yes, I second the above a very low nutrient tank. Great lighting & keeping parameters for cal, alk and mag along with ph right will help drastically. I dose kalkwasser every night and that really helps.

2. Zeovit dosing alternates/ equivalent

thanks, but do you have an actual link of an article for the above, for reference?

Just keep it simple and no phosphates.

You do not need a bunch of fancy products and solutions to get great coloration.

Maintain consistent parameters, quality lighting and it should fall into place. If you want the pastel coloration you see in zeovite systems go that route but it is expensive and more time consuming than need be. Beautiful colors but takes a huge commitment.

I do not believe you have to run a ULNS to get the colors and I have the corals to prove it.

+1. Well said.

Here are a few pointers from me.

- Random, dispersed flow

- Nutrient Reduction / Export Method (don't over do this)

- Constant Calcium and Alkalinity supplementation. (2 part solution and/or kalk)

- Parameter Stability (usually the missing ingredient)

- Strong Lighting

I had great coral colors and tried to do more, more dosings, more gizmos, and in the end my colors really hurt for it. I've had best colors when I keep things simple and don't over do it. Just keep your water quality good and have adequate lighting and you're corals will color nicely.
