SPS Coral Blowout

Amheck, Where do I buy T-5 GE6500ks from? Are they double pronged? I looked for them, but only could find 6500 with a singe prong on the end. How cheap are the T-5 GE 6500 k?

Thanks,
Chris

I know reefgeek sells them. I thought they were under $10 for sure. And I think there was a thread in this forum a while back "where to buy the GE6500K locally" and someone said they found a place, I thought.

And yes, they are doubled pronged. I have one in my Tek fixture now. I'd like to replace it sooner rather than later. I'll have to look for that old thread. Maybe John can order them, too.

Aaron

Aaron,

Thanks for the update. Reefgeeks cost is 16 dollars for the GE6500 k bulbs. So for the price of one t-5 bulb, I can buy four T-12s. I know T-5s are the rage and people have had good sucess, but my T-12s work and are a lot cheaper. I think I will keep to T-12s for the time being.

Thanks,
Chris

anative, I wish I could be there but I'll be out of town. Anyway of talking you into doing the auction on the following Saturday? I didnt think so either, but good luck with everything.

are you going to allow a mass purchase? i know its up for bid but if i want to bid to win on everything will this be allowed?
i dont want to go all the way there and be cut off at certain amount of pieces. i guess what i mean is will you run this like a business or will you be trying to make everyone happy?

let me know
Thanks

If you want to buy everything that is fine. Each coral will be auctioned off one at a time. I just want everyone to have an equal shot at getting something if they want it.

Jon

The two biggest corals are the purple tipped stag which is 2 ft by 1 ft and the Orange Cap which is 1 ft in dia.

why is that funny?? i was asking a basic question. i have done a few auction style sales like this and sometimes sellers will say
"ok its time to let someone else get something" and others have been run under the terms of " money talks". If i decide that i will be able to go i was simply wanting to know which type this will be. not sure how that is funny.
