Sps corals and full tank shot

Here is an update with my reef. I sold 3 colonies and multiple frags to make room for more growth and a slight coral rearrangement. I like the layout of it better already but I think I may have to sell a few more to make room for some more vibrant pieces. I am really trying to reduce the amount of colonies I have and aim for a more mature reef with a few contrasting colors. Let me know what you think of the pictures.

Very simple, I manual dose two part, no auto top off. Run of the mill T5's, decent quality skimmer, and cheap power heads. No crazy additive routine. I basically just pay attention to the reef and adjust as needed.
I Don’t have a decent place for a larger tank yet but I agree I would love a larger tank. Over the past 6 months I have gotten rid of over half of my sps colonies to make room for growth.

You have a great tank! I think the GBN loves aquaticlife fixtures. I have one that grew about 8x its size in 6 months. There was this guy on "The Reef Tank" that had the same fixture and his GBN went nuts also.

Gorgeous tank!

You don't do water changes? Any other additives used, apart from the Zeo and MB7?

Yeah that galaxy birdnest grows very fast. No I have never done a water change on this current tank in the 11 months that it has been set up. The only time I change any water is to replace the water I lose when I give people frags or sell colonies. That is only like a gallon of water so not very much at all. Just so we are clear, I am not saying that not doing water changes is a good thing, I used to do them all the time a few years ago but I have notice no difference in the tank if I do them or not so I choose not lol. If you ask all of the big reef buff on this forum if corals use trace elements and uptake them from the water they along with the research say no. So then why do water changes to replace them if they are not being removed. I manually dose cal/alk/mag and sometimes potassium so i cover that without water changes. The skimmer and growth of corals removes nitrates and phosphates so there really is no need for water changes in my tank.

On a side note I have noticed no difference in my tank if I Use RO water or tap. For the past 4 months I have been using RO and I couldn’t tell the difference. I have really reduce the 4 zeo products i use because i found after the initial increase in color i do not notice any increased benefits from doing the supplements.

Here are some recent pictures i took of the reef. I tried to play with the white balance to get rid of the blue from the actinic.

I also added a reef bright blue Led light and wow does it ever make the corals pop.

Love the tank. I know you have herd that a bunch already but really I mean it.

So, you don't do any water changes? I love it! I was doing weekly water changes but have since decided to do monthly changes instead. How many fish do you have in your tank and what are they. Sorry if you already mentioned this.

I am not sure which yellow coral your talking about. i adjusted the white balance so some of the greens look a bit yellow. can you be more specific and i'll tell you what it is.

for fish there are 1 yellow tang, 2 tomato clowns, 5 damsel fish, and 2 zebra barred gobies that do not come out of hidding.

wow, your tank is amazing. have you had any problems with the zoa overtaking the sps?

The zoas will begin to creep on the encrusting part of the sps but it depends on the coral. some sps will encrust the zoanthinds back and others will let the zoas grown on them. overall its like they have a mutal aggrement, they race for space but once they met up they both stop growing when they begin to touch.
