If your water is yellow then I would do water chagr ASAP.
I have done a 12% water change on Sunday and that's when I noticed it.
It is not super yellow, but there's definitely a difference between it and the fresh batch.

Are you noticing any change in color intensity of the corals?
I agree with a couple of people here, all you need to do is increase the light level to 70-75% and add Lugo solution 5-6 drops per 120 gallon once a week and your blue and purples will pop. The light has to be turned up considerably to have any effect at all. I am not a marine biologist but I have been in the reef hobby for 20 years growing SPS and LPS. With this process even any brown in color acro's will eventually turn blue as well. Good Luck!
I`ve read somwhere that you need to keep nitrates at around 3-5, and the coloration should pop up. I recently added 8 fish to my system and nitrates are at 0.25 which is still too low i think. i`ll try to feed heavily and we`ll see what happenes also i decreased my white leds to 50% and my lps loves that, but two of my pale acroporas went brown, so i`ll try to increase it slowly now. I`ll report more.
I am so looking forward to the next few weeks so that I can either support or dismiss that claim.![]()
How about an update n your SPS color situation? You were going to alter some of your dosing practices and see how that affects your SPS coloration, and then look at your lighting if you saw no results.
How is your tank doing?![]()
I noticed you have GSP. GSP is pretty darn aggressive. It has strong chemical defenses which could very well be a cause of stress to the rest of your coral quite possibly leading to poor coloration.
Thanks, I've been running them at 50%, so I'll turn them up slightly to 60% for this month to see if it makes a difference.
I did notice that my softies did not like bright light - frog spawn in particular go all washed out. And all favias would simply die off.
