I tried dosing 1ml of Aquavitro Vibrance today (Potassium Iodide), per the instructions on the bottle. I'll monitor the results. I'm watching the three acropora with blue tips, to see if the coloration spreads. How much iodine gets used by xenia, chaeto, and coralline algae? I have lots, and my total system volume is likely to be around 45 gallons.
From what I understand, it's really hard to test for iodine accurately, so everyone is more or less dosing without accurate tests.
I have noticed that the last 3 weeks of potassium chloride dosing has helped develop a purple rim to the large brown scrolling monti in my tank.
