I would get a small fox face, beef up the clean up crew, and also continue with bi weekly water changes. Make sure your source water isn't fueling the algae. Be patient and you will get it under control.
I use both biodigest and bioptim in conjunction with vsv at 4mls every other day with very good results. I also use there strontium but have been thinking about trying something different just because lol.
Adding a carbon source to your system takes dedication and a complete understanding of how it works.

I assume you mean fish? I had a lawnmower blenny and it did a great job on my film algae and then once that was gone, the hair algae started to pop up and it would not touch that so the blenny eventually died. I think my tank is too small for a tang though.
