SPS Problem

Recently I noticed my Bali Green Slimer has started to become brown. Then I lost an Acro and now my Jedi Mind Trick Is starting to become white in the middle. I dont know what is going wrong. I noticed this all started happening once I added on my Calcium Reactor/ BioPellets. Anyone have an idea whats going on? How can I save my corals?

What I mean is the Ca,Alk,or MAg could be aout of line as you might be adding to much Ca from the reator, that why I said is it tuned in right, its not uncommon for people to lose a few corals when they add a reactor from dosing pumps or by hand dosing,so thats why I said,do you have the CA reactor tuned in right, cause if not, that is what would be causing the unstable parameters. And again,I would need to see the parameters to give a say on if it is the water or the reactor.

Good luck.

Here's my Parameters.
Thanks for the help btw.

What type of lights do you run,did you add any other corals recently that had anything on them like montipora eating nudis, kinda odd that your jedi is white in the center.

Ive heard that with bio products like zeolite prodibio and even vodka you can see an initial poor reaction in an established system due to the rapid decrease in available food source. I've also heard of aggresive unhealthy bacteria gaining a foothold due to the increased carbon source, but I think that is probably just speculation.

So do you think I should pull the biopelletes offline to see if there is an improvement?

I do belive it has somthign to do with the Bio pellets.

Like stated above, the products from Zeovit help make the system an ULNS.Meaning less food for corals,so corals would react negitivly to that.

Pull them and see what happens.

maybe run them for less time, like four hrs a day, but I don't believe its an alk issue alk burn usually happens from the tips down and corals tend to get lighter with alk burn.
I think you should try to get some advise from someone with a little more experience with the bio methods I don't want to claim to know to much about them. there is usually alot of people that frequent the Reef Chemistry forum that may be able to shed some more light on the subject.

clowns101,
BY your current tank info YOU AR ONE BUSY DUDE ! HA!

Thanks.I actully need to update that, when I had that set up I was super busy from 3-5 hours a day with my stuff, probably more than that though.

Most of my stuff has been taken down exept 3 of my tanks which Im getting ready to take down one and put up a rimless tank.

I took most of my stuff down because we had a family member move in and took my breeding, prop room so now I have no room to do anything with,so that means its time for a green house,so I can do my stuff out side away from the house.

And I thinki a green house will also let me fund some more SW stuff by me breeding FW chiclids,Guppies,Mollies,Playies, things like that that I can sell in mass quanities for a good price.
