Was wondering if I could get away with using a regular full spectrum florescent bulb for my 10 gal coral qt tank. Would SPS frags be able to deal with this for 2 or 3 weeks.. or do I need to get a t5 setup?
i see alot of coral frag tanks or growout tanks with t5vho's . i was thinking about giving this a try since they are fairly cheap to buy and run . maybe later on when i have alil xtra money i might go led .
I would stay away from a regular/standard flourescent bulb for you qt tank. You can get a t5 fixture for a 10g tank relatively cheap. They may survive, but would most likely seriously brown out with a regular flourescent bulb over a 2-3 week span.
