sps question ??

I have small cherry tip that fell over yesterday and landed next to my frogspawn thismorning I see that it has about 3 of the branches have turned white. just about the top half inch.

should I break them off or just leave it alone?
I will post a pic soon.

the white branches are likely going to be dead and corraline will be growing over them. That said, there no need to really break them off now. I would leave it alone and wait to see what happens.

I would trim back the dead spots the sps will heal faster that way.

you defenitally want to cut those branches off until you have nothing but live coral. the dead coral will prevent that branch from growing any further up.

thanks reefinmike I cut it off and glued the dead brancehs to a pice of rock rubbel there still wee live sections on it Ill see what that does later.
