How long did you wait to start filling up your tank with SPS?

I am having slight issues with some corals going STN, RTN and one major issue besides keeping my tank too sterile is it's age.

I rather skip the other issues and just confirm one major question at this time.

At what point would you place a vast SPS collection? I prefer mini-colonies which cost more and rather not have anymore death than needed.

I restarted my tank with new sand and mostly dead rock. After a few weeks I added a few tester frags. A few weeks after that I started adding more corals quite rapidly. Checkout my thread. I used a few lbs of liverock, but mostly its dead rock and added about 3 different types of bacteria supplements.

I didnt have any STN/RTN issues.

I certainly wouldnt risk putting any number of colonies in a tank that currently has RTN/STN issues.

I'd say once you are sure that all the parameters are stable for a period of 2 or so months and you can be pretty sure those parameters will stay stable you are fine
