SPS Tank + Maxima Clam: Good idea?

Thanks, Everyone, for your advice. It sounded like clams can do quite well in an
SPS-dominated tank after all.

So, I pulled the trigger, and bought one. The 5" blue maxima (of my dreams) that JUST arrived. Hopefully, it does well. Can you find it?

I find in my tank that if I put the clams up on the rock work amongst the corals many fish that tend to nip at them don't do the same damage they do when clams are out in the open on the sandbed.

MY buddy had 2 clams. He didn't have a protein skimmer, he just had the clams, and I guess they replaced the protein skimmers.(clams did)

Can't say i would recommend substituing a protein skimmer for some clams, but you won't have any problem keeping clams and sps together.

just make sure you dont have any fish that will make a meal out of it.:fish1:
