Stopped by the Lfs on the way home picked up 10 hermits and 5 snails the hermits are acting like I have crack algae they are fighting over it

This is a new system started at Christmas time started adding corals at around the one month mark excuse the Algae the new cuc is already making short work of it . Some growth pics

Lighting 4 bulb t5 aquatrader odyssea
38 gallon display overflows to 20 long frag tank to 15gallon sump
Ulns gfo and gac bare bottom both tanks

Also very light fish load and feed fish light
But feed corals three times a week with reef roids
I dose full saturation kalk in ato
And 20 ml two part daily this need seems to be rising weekly when usage gets to 30 will buy doser

A little word of experience here, for your light.I once tried an aqua trader T-5 for actinic supplementation to my halides.After 4 months of use it started smoking and nearly caught fire.The smell of electrical fire is not something good to be awoken by.

From the pics corals look really good...pe, encrusting, just get the algae under control and stabilize your params and you're on your way.

Nitrates 0
Of coarse on API test kit
have Hanna egg for phosphate red sea pro nitrate kits ordered should be here monday if they show zero it has got to be this rock any ideas

If I ordered the ATI 4 bulb fixture would it really put out 50% more par than my odycheap

I cannot say for sure if it would, but I am 100% positive it would be a better fixture.Maybe even a 6 bulb fixture, at least that is what I would do.

It would be a big improvement as the reflectors are better and so are the ballast.
