SPS tanks with 45degree viewing front panel? Anybody got one/seen one?

YOU have been ignored!
Since most SPS corals are much more colorful from the top why don't more people have tanks with a large 45 degree front viewing panel on them? Sortof like clam tanks.. Have you guys seen many of these? Might get tough to keep the glass/acrylic clean but... Only thing I'd wonder about is how flow would be affected with the funny angle on the tank.

At this link www.reefvideos.com click on the seahorse tank video. It is a nice ricordia seahorse tank that has a 45 degree front viewing panel. Really nice looking. I have not seen a full reef setup this way

I think that the reason more people don't use these tanks for SPS reefs is that it would be difficult to light down the 45 properly.

i know clamsdirect sold some 45degree viewing clam tanks a while back. my buddy has one sitting empty in his garage. i've always wanted that tank...very cool IMO. but the light issue would be harder to get in there...and cleaning would be more difficult if you had to get to the front w/ the 45degree in your way

I set my tank up for top down viewing. It is an open top with euobracing, 70g tank custom Lee Mar. It is about 18"deep, 2ft front to back and 3 ft long (not quite a cube but close :)). My stand is shorter than most. I have pendants that are easily hoisted for unobstructed viewing from the top down if neccessary, though they really don't get in the way to much if left down. This way you can view from the front easily as well as walking up to it and peering down into it. I have an easy shut down set up so the flow stops while viewing or you can look through an acrylic viewing box on top of the water while the flow is going. I agree, sps and clams look so cool from the top down. I considered one of the 45 degree fronts but htey were acrylic and I prefer glass, in retrospect I am really glad I did not go with that kind of a set up.
