Hello Everyone,

I have been reading more about SPS and started to keep more of them.
I have been reading online and I see that people mention the sps names but I really know what they actually look like.

So if you guys have some free time and pictures of your sps.
Please post the pictures and their name so new people like myself can learn more about sps.

Thanks,
Bao

Spend some time in the SPS ID forum, which is a sub forum to this SPS forum. You'll find lots of photos, along with possible identifying names.

I dont think the sps id forum is what he wants.... a lot of corals with no common name and a lot of frags as well. Most people with named corals know what they have. Unless he is more interested in species names..but then i suggest the aims database.

thanks for all the replies,
I don't want scientific names. I was thinking of a common name that people usually call those sps such as Ora Red Planet, or Oregon Tort. I kind of wanting to see a big mother colony with its name. I want to see what it will look like when it grows up and what form and what color it will have. In the Ids forum, most of the time, its a tiny frags or a brown out corals. On the website that sell corals, most of them are also frags and the thing that I don't like about those websites is that the the picture isn't under normal light.. I think the picture is too blue, its hard to tell what the corals actually look like in real life. Many people post pictures of their sps and sometimes they also include names but they are mostly little frags..

Anyone have big colonies out there?? like 7 or 10 inches or more?
