Sounds too good to be true.
I bought a nice blue rim squamosa at a LFS that had some faint blue shading to the entire mantle. I was definitley not blue, except for the rim.
Since I changed out my bulbs to 400 watt 20K XM bulbs, the darn thing has really colored up! It is really pretty blue now. My other clams seem the same (mostly crocea and maxima, but one other squamosa).
Now it may be cheating as I also have actinic VHO lighting, but it sure seems like the color has changed over time.
Has anyone had any of their clams "color up" or change color over time and with different lighting?
Thanks!
