Talking with dan the other day got me thinking that A Square skimmer wouldn't be to bad of an idea. I recently grabbed a 4x8 sheet of acrylic to make a beckett style skimmer with a square box on the bottom. I figure i may just make it square instead of having to buy the tubular acrylic. Anybody know any good DIY plans. I have some ideas but was wondering if anyone knows any diy'd off hand.
Can you use a beckett style skimmer with a diffuser plate. Also I read that you need a circular bubble plate on the square skiimer and you cant use a square one.
I will be planning on starting this project something next week hopefully.
