hi roger...i've been running a 6100 w 7091 controller for just obver 3 months now...all of the sudden one day it begins squeeling constatnt and very loud(the driver that is) i haven't tried to mess with it yet i wanted some advice as to what to look for and what to do...i'm not sure what caused this, or what to do...nothing has changed since ive placed the stream in the tank... i did notice that when i plugged the unit back into the wall after a few days to see if it was just a fluke the leds indicating the 2 various "speeds" began fluttering back and forth when the squeeling redsumed... thanks for your time

Its telling you the stream is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Take the stream apart and clean it up then the driver should stop. It should say something about it in the directions..

not doubting you...does it seem likely that it would need cleaning after just over 3months of work?they didn't give a mainteneance schedule as i remeber...seems an easy fix though...just wondered what others may have experienced and what tunze had to say tnx

Yes, it needs cleaning. Depending on calcium levels and suspended sediment the cleaning interval can be as short as one month or as long as a year. Most commonly the interval is 3-6 months. Sand, algae or calcium deposits lock the pieces together and sound the alarm.

thanks alot roger...that makes me feel alot better...i'll let u know if theres any other problem after cleaning...appreciate the prompt reply...
