Even dull squillids can be interesting.

This is a yellow-green fluorescence in response to blue light. The animal is illuminated with blue light (such as would occur at depth) and the photograph is taken through a yellow filter. The filter cuts out the blue illumination, so what you see is the resulting fluorescent emission. You can find out much more about this at:
