St. Pete 12g Nano back up after a 5 year break.

If by Coral banded you mean, Stenopus hispidus, they do not form symbiotic relationships with gobys.
Look for Alpheus sp., Candy stripe pistol shrimp.

My stocking list is about the same, just different species. I'll be going with a Yasha goby, Candy pistol, and a True Perc

OK thanks for the correct names. I have not seen a Yasha goby at the LFS i go to but they look pretty cool. My stock list is not set in stone and depends on what i can get local as well.

I'll be shooting tonight... and will probably scare the hell out of them since I want to rockscape some... but I'll try to get pics first :)

they share a hole... check my thread later (the Nuvo thread in this forum)

Well not much going on over the past week sense my tank is still cycling. I should be close and maybe this weekend get a cuc. we'll see.
I did get the Coralife Power Digital strip setup and works pretty good. Nothing fancy about it and I only have one power cord for my lights so it will work well in my situation.

I am looking at a ATO unit but is there enough space in the back compartments for it to fit? I guess i could put it in the second one but not sure if the lid would close correctly if i did so. Anyone else have a JBJ nano 12g that has a ATO unit let me know how you did it and what brand you got would be helpful.

Welcome to RC! Yeah good to know there are other people around that enjoy the hobby as much as i do.

Well, I would love a larger tank but it's not in the financial cards right now.
I figure if i stay patient and go slow with the 12g JBJ with the assumption i am successful with this tank then when i do have the funds for a larger tank it will be a breeze to manage.
Are you going to start your own build thread for the 25g? Would love to see how you build it out and some pictures.

Yeah, we've got quite a few people popping up from around the 727 on here... I'm new, too :)

Yeah 727 is the place to be! I stopped into RockNReef yesterday and the place was packed. So, the economy must not be stopping too many people enjoying this great hobby!

I did my first water change today. Nothing too exciting and went pretty good. It's really nice only changing out 1.5g!!!
My CUC is making circles around the tank and LR. It's pretty fun to watch the crabs filter through all the LS on the bottom of the tank.

Question - I know i have to wait for the bio-load to do a mini cycle after i added the CUC yesterday, but how long should i wait to add a coral or two? I guess it all depends on my readings on my water tests?

A CUC will be not be an issue; you will be fine adding a coral.

I just did a 2g on my 12g and will be placing an order for a CUC from ReefCleaners.
