staghorn with long white polyps

I was getting ready to throw some coral frenzy in my qt tank when I so my stag on a few larger polyps having a long white strand hanging out. Almost like a fishing worm but alot shorter 1/4 inch or less. So I fed the coral frenzy and all of a sudden alot of them started doing it. I took a video on my phone but RC is saying submission error when I try to attach. I have never seen this before and wondering if usual for stag feeding response or stress?
