Stand Alone doser for Kalkwasser?

can i dose kalkwasser with Profilux doser? and will it clog the pump

Anytime you're using Kalkwasser you'll need to pay close attention to the pump tubing and especially the output end of the tube.

One tip that has helped me in similar situations is to cut the end of the tube at a long narrow angle... like the end of a hypodermic needle when viewed highly magnified.

Another tip would be to have your ATO outlet just above the Kalk output hose so every time your ATO kick on it some what washes/flushes the end of the tubing.

Otherwise I don't see any reason you couldn't use a ProfiLux doser so long as it's well maintained. Remember the pump is a "Doser Pump" and it's tubing so it needs to be well maintained regardless what you run through it.

I have used it very successfully with kalk and with far less issues than the Aquamedic dosing pump I used to have!

I also use a hard plastic tube at the end of the dosing line, cut at an angle like BigAl said. I have recently submerged this under the water line too. Does anyone see a problem if doing that?
