Star Fish

When I first started my tank I had lots of these little starfish. Then once I started Biopellets they all disappeared. I recently stopped using biopellets and these little guys are back. (Not positive if related to biopellets)

Tom - Does this look the same as your starfish?

I think some species are good and some are not. I haven't noticed anything negative from these guys. Any opinions?

I think they are the same, they will eat your zoanthids so take them out if you can. My pair of Halerquin are doing a number on them so my zoanthids are doing much better.

Asterina stars is what they look like. Can become a nuisance? So I have heard when in plague proportions.

I've never seen such an ornate or shaggy asterina with such long tube feet. It's like the Cousin It of asterinas. Or the bigfoot of asterinas.
