i peel it off from the edge of the rock.

These are the easiest to frag. When they close they are on a purple carpet like blanket with the studs where the flowers/polyps come out.

Just take a sharp pair of scissors and cut between these studs. Take the newly cut frag and you can use a rubber band to hold it to your rock. After a few weeks your should see new polyp growth and can study the rock to see if the frag has attached to the rock. If so, take the rubber band off. You don't want it tight, just make it enough to loosely hold it down so it can grow on the rock itself.

I had a tiny frag that I attached to a huge baseball sized seashell. It now covers the seashell and makes it portable.

This stuff grows like a weed so whatever you put it on, take into consideration that it's going to cover that.

Oh and let me add that the best to frag these is when you shut off the tank lights or a while and let the polyps naturally close.

You can connect frags with super glue gel. Make sure it's gel! The gel will seal and harden even in saltwater so with all frags you can put them on a frag peg or small rock and make sure they are secured into the gel and place it directly into the tank. The gel won't release any toxins and will harden in the water surprisingly enough.

okay i have two forms i wanna frag the green ones and the tan ones can i glue/ rubberban them on the same item

Sure but know when you do that they will end up fighting for territory if it's on the same rock. It would be a beauty though to see them grace the same rock. Kinda like a yin/yang look.

+1 for growing like weed; it will grow over any SPS and kill it. So it's better have it on its owns separate rock.

+ 2or3 grows like a weed, I have couple of pieces that I try to keep in the sand that way it's easy to move around I am afraid to let it get on my rocks cause I know it's almost impossible to remove it all. I did glue a piece to the back of the tank looks very cool and I know that it would be fairly easy to remove by just scraping it off.

I like your idea of letting it grow on the back of the tank.
