star rot???

What is it, is there any thing that can be done?
He has been in a sps tank for months, no problem, every thing else in tank doing well.
I am dosing algaefix to kill hairalgae, other than that nothing going on in tank.

Not the easiest star to keep. Diet is somewhat of a mystery. My guess, he's been starving to death for a while and is now beginning to literally fall to pieces. He could make it in a large established system but beyond that I don't know what else could be done.

And fix the algae problem instead of using a chemical bandaid which will only be temporary.

he is in a 180 that has been set up for a year, he's been the only star except for a sand sifting star. Didn't know exactly what he ate but thought tank that size should be OK.
