starfish for your SPS tanks

I have a serpent star -- has been with me for at least 4 years now. I forget about it, and then will see a leg pop out about once a month.

I have a ton of brittle starts that came in with my LR. They started small and are now 2 inches from arm to arm.

I have a couple sand sifters and 3 or 4 serpents in mine. Had them all for about a year now. The serpents do a greaat job at pickin up this scrapps.

Me too!! I had several micro brittle stars on my LR when I set it up...now a year later I have a production factory....hundreds and hundreds all over the tank. I end up picking out 1-2 dozen from my filter pad each week. I can't give them away fast enough...it's crazy.

I know what you mean. They go crazy in the right conditions. When the lights are off you see arms coming from nearly every crack and hole in the rock. If I can find one out at night I will take a pic.

Me too, having this gray serpent star about 3 years and had grown to about 2ft arm's tip to tip with a body size 5cm in dia. But I have a misterious missing anthias now and then haha. Just a suspected culprit in the community and my fishes all well healthy, no any sort of diseases. I love his look when during feeding time and came out like alien in the unknown. I feed him once a week or 2 with cut market shrimp or pilchard.
