I got some live rock today and a few hours later I noticed this little bugger on the front of my tank. I've done a little research and think it may be an asterina star. I'm just wondering if 1) is it an asternia? and 2) if so, should I keep it or just get rid of it

its an asternia star. they are common hitch hikers on LR. they will actually help you keep your tank clean. you will probably see more eventually because they reproduce by fission.

Yes unless you see him chowing on something you want to stay healthy.
