Starfish ID needed. With pics.

Starfish came with the tank, I need to know what to feed them and if they are reef safe.

I was told it was just a common reef starfish.I have the same one.

without doing any research I would doubt it. The stars with the the "knobs" on it usually like to munch corals....

Actually it looks more like a Red Thorny Starfish, Echinaster (Othilia) echinophorus, and is reef safe. Here is a link:
