Starfish or pest worm? [Id]

Hi all

Saw this "leg" a few weeks back and dismissed it as a starfish with a regenerated leg...but I keep thinking maybe it is a nefarious worm? It has a thin end that is curled at the tip.

Sorry about the algae on the glass! I haven't seen it in a while.

The mushroom got damaged when I was attempting to get the rock it was on off of a frag plug it didn't make it.

pretty much the same as yours. The large and small arms look like starfish in your pic but the one coming out of the other made me unsure.

That's what I had thought too and then became paranoid lol. I wish it would come out of the rock completely so I could inspect it!

Thanks everyone. I guess it got injured out in the ocean and then came in like that on my KP rock.

It is a starfish’s leg. I am not sure that the leg like that without part time f the body will regrowth. I suspect that it’s body is in the rock and that is the end of it’s injured leg.
