starry blenney question

my starry blenney is not dark colored. He is lighter then when I purchased him 2 weeks ago. Am I just seeing him stressed out?

Ours changes color all of the time (we have had him ~2 years), sometimes he is dark, sometimes he is light. The color and pattern variation of ours is pretty crazy, he goes from a light tan with white patches to almost black with the characteristic tiny blue stars all over his body. That sucker bites me all of the time though.

Assuming you have an appropriately sized tank, plenty of live rock, a fully cycled system, good water parameters and as long as your blenny eats, is at a good weight (no pinched stomach), has no signs of illness and otherwise acts like a blenny, I would not be worried.
