Stars and Strips Puffer?

I introduced a 7" Stars and Strips Puffer in my 300 FOWLR yesterday. Only fish in there is a Porcupine Puffer and a Foxface. Upon introduction the Stars and Strips puffer swam a bit then went to go hide. Today he hid all day in that same spot and didn't move a muscle. Is this normal for these guys when first introduced?

Maybe a day but most puffers I've seen are pretty inqusitive, and hungry, and are fairly active quickly.
