And get your power strip up off of the floor. Water can run down your cords right into your sockets. Make sure you have drip loops and better yet, plug that strip into a GFCI socket.

I would also dump the stand or modify it. I have one that is basically the same footprint, but is fully enclosed. Lots more room and a lot sturdier. Cannot remember the mfgr, but someone in this form mentioned it a while back.

Our AP24 is coming Saturday. We also got the much maligned stand. My wife really likes how it looks. I didn't read all the negatives about it out here untill after we ordered. Bad on me. So I had read one person couldn't open the door on it with the AP full of water. Can you open your door. Also I had read metal L brackets on the inside corners could improve stand stability.

Our setup is coming from nanotuners. Only have tracking info for 1 package for fedex home delivery. I was expecting at least 2 boxes and it looks like you got even more than that. What was your tracking experience. Should I be concerned that maybe not everything has shipped. I am hoping it has and nanotuners is only set up to provide one tracking number.

I dont think you should be concerned about something not shipping. They would have let you know if somethin didnt go out. Now about the stand, I can open my door, it just takes a good pull/yank. But I just wanted to support the outside corners with metal bars. Maybe I will do the L brackets on the inside. But I would have to take the tank off and then I would have to empty it to do that.

Now, this is my first ever coral so I am very excited about it! I love how it moves in all the current! Will he eat krill? I have tons of it.

And also, I know I didnt get much rock at all. It is because I was on a tight budget, and I just wanted the tank to look nice and give the fish a place to hide. I am ordering 20lbs. of Fiji Select from Liveaquaria ASAP.

I dont think that was a wise decision placing a fish and a coral in a tank thats not fully aquascaped and that your gonna add more LR that is being shipped and will have some amount of die-off.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that took pics of my box!

Nice mod with the second pump and loc line.

What light are you planning on using in your back chamber for the chaeto?

Keep the pics coming!

Hmmm, it is open top with the subpod, do you need another light for the cheato? Or does enough light spill into the back for it? Our AP24 is on the truck for delivery today.

Yeah, I have my light right in the middle of the tank not including the back compartments. So I need a mini fuge light. Also, I am not wirred about ordering more LR for it. The dieoff may creat a little nitrate spike, but I will be doing more frequent water changes for the first 2 weeks or so (2 WC's a week maybe). So that should do the trick.

How often should I feed the Plate? I tried feeding it 2 times and it hasn't even shown the slightest interested. I have been trying krill, but I have shrimp and brine/mysys shrimp also. Which would be best to try?

Ok guys, the moment you have all been wating for about the crappy Current stand!!! Here is it!

I was at Home Depot looking for something to make my canopy out of (eggcrate), and I saw these wooden poles. They had them in all sizes and thicknesses, but I bought the 1" thinkness I THINK. Anyways, I just paineted it black, cut it, and wedged it in there and I think it looks great PLUS the stand it SUPER sturdy now!

*I can even open the door without and restriction from the stand top! Yipee! Also, how often should I feed my LT Plate and what should I feed him!?

i hate to brake the news to you, but your animals are at risk of being poisoned. you could take them back and have the LFS hold them for you till everything settles down.
you assembled it on the 18th and fish in the 20th. not good man. i am in no way of disrespecting you, and please take it in a caring way.
